Ama - Krokka B&B

Enjoy a tranquil stay at Ama-krokka Bed & Breakfast accommodation in De Kelders, Gansbaai. Your hosts Lionel and Sue Paeper have specifically modified their home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in order to share their life-long dream, of living in this peaceful spot, with other people from around the world.

Lionel and Sue provide bed and breakfast / guesthouse accommodation that guests say is "even better than home from home" only 500m from the sea.

Ama-krokka Guesthouse, being in De Kelders, faces west overlooking Walker Bay - the only Whale Nature Reserve in the world. This location also ensures that you are privy to the most spectacular African sunsets.

Gansbaai is part of the Cape Overberg region that lies on the southernmost tip of Africa. It is a part of the world where nature is still pristine and its abundance can be enjoyed without any effort at all. The land is covered with fynbos, the sea is an incandescent blue, the beaches are immaculate and the air pure. Marine and bird life abound in this temperate environment. You can simply sit on the deck and you'll see the whales in the bay a myriad of birds.

There are many things to see and do in de kelders, Gansbaai and in the nearby area. Closest to home are the famous Klipgat Caves a 15 minute walk from Ama-krokka B&B. It also just so happens that Lionel knows the caves and their stories inside out.

Gansbaai is known as the Big 2 town because of the brilliant whale watching and shark spotting opportunities. The cliffs at De Kelders are perfect for watching whales from the shore but there are also local tour operators that will take you out to sea for a closer look at the whales or to go Great White Shark cage diving. There are many hiking trails and 4 x 4 trails and much, much more.
