Bed in the Bush

Bed in the Bush accommodation situated in Phalaborwa, Limpopo Province. A welcoming oasis that soon lures you into a relaxing mode, ready to pass out to the harmonious sounds of the African bush. The large en-suite bedrooms are all open out onto deep shadowed verandas, providing luxurious spaces and atmosphere in which to let the bush go by. Positioned on a high rise in the otherwise flat lowveld landscape, spectacular Sun and Moon rises are experienced.

The Owl House accommodation

Originally the cow sheds of a cattle farm, this charming cottage is called the »Owl House« because when building alterations started, Owls were living there. Being a unique and private facility, the Owl House soon became the favourite of a number of regular visitors.

Comprising two bedrooms, two bathrooms, outside shower, two patios and kitchen, it sleeps 3 indoors but have on occasion catered for up to 10 people - some pitching a tent and others sleeping outside in the open on beautifully crafted cement benches. (under roof – bring your own sleeping bags) From here, you can laze away the day while watching and listening to the weird and wonderful goings on of the wild.

Situated privately close to the Main House (about 100 metres away), you can enjoy some of the Main House attractions. Cool off in the nearby swimming pool, have breakfast or dinner while watching some amazing sun or moon rises with views over the Kruger National Park. On occasions attend a Concert, a Jazz evening or some of the special events that are on offer from time to time..

The Bush Camp accommodation

It's a uniquely designed, African village style building in the middle of a glorious bush (Silonque Nature Conservancy). The Bush Camp is where traditional and modern elements have been beautifully combined in a house that feels like a 21st century African hut. Traditional blankets meet air-conditioned rooms; dung floors meet modern, silver-topped kitchens. Its been described as African Zen, which basically means its familiar yet other worldly and really hits the calm and quiet spots«

Features
Sleeps 6 people - two each in three air-conditioned rooms (not en-suite). For the more adventurous, a further 4 people can sleep outside (under mosquito nets – bring own sleeping bags) on one double bed platform and two single mattresses on bench.

It is our first goal to cater for your accommodation needs. Should The Main House Phalaborwa, Bush Camp and The Owl House Phalaborwa be fully booked, or should you feel you are looking for a very different place in and around Phalaborwa, we will find something for you.
