Chestnut Country Lodge accommodation is situated in the beautiful Kiepersol district 10 kms from Hazyview, Mpumalanga and boasts magnificent mountain and valley views.


Chestnut Country Lodge accommodation is set on 50 hectares of indigenous bush-land, the lodge offers eight standard double or twin-bedded rooms, four luxury suites and the chestnut suite offering accommodation for up to 26 guests.

All of the rooms in the accommodation individually and tastefully decorated and all have en-suite bathrooms. The luxury suites are more spacious and provide a separate lounge area within the room and an en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower. The chestnut suite is ideal for honeymoon couples and romantic week-end getaways and offers a king size bed and a lounge area with a sumptuous leather lounge suite. The bathroom has his and hers basins and a bath for two. The privately enclosed patio has an outside shower ideal to cool off on those hot African summer nights.

We are within easy driving distance from O. R. Tambo International Airport, Ellis Park Stadium, and Soccer City Stadium.

Our guest house is very spacious and peaceful, with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. We have the biggest known uninterrupted hedgerow maze in the Southern world (and the third biggest in the world), boasting more than 900 conifers. It covers about 6000 sq.m. (approximately 1.5 acres), which is about 5 times bigger than The Hampton Court Maze. We have five suites with private bathrooms and under-floor heating, sleeping a total of 13 guests. They are all bright and spacious, with traditional country décor. We also have four charming bush cottages on river - in a cluster , but very private - and two cottages in the gatehouse, sleeping a maximum of 21 guests.

We speak English, Afrikaans, and German.

Charis to Theo

Charis to Theo accommodation is situated in the popular town of Lagebaan, just over 100 km from Cape Town on the West Coast, off the R27 next to Langebaan Lagoon. The white Caribbean-like beaches surrounding the crystal clear waters of the Langebaan Lagoon is one of the main attractions of Langebaan.

Charis to Theo is a very well-equipped three-storey house situated in the very secluded residential area of Paradise Beach. The house provides accommodation with the most breath-taking sea views of Langebaan Lagoon and Saldanha Bay, and is only a five-minute walk from the beach. The lounge and dining room area lead onto a big open-plan braai area, equipped with a table for outside dining and has beautiful sea views.

Water sport enthusiasts can enjoy windsurfing, kitesurfing, yachting, angling and much more in the turquoise waters which are positively balmy for the Cape. Langebaan enjoys a moderate climate with cool air and long sunlit days. In winter it is never very cold and the long summer days are never unbearably hot.

The West Coast National Park is worth a visit to see the variety of fauna and flora which this unique eco-system has to offer and the ecological history of Langebaan can be viewed at the West Coast Fossil Park.
